Mark H. Ellis

Mark H. Ellis is the 4th Great Nephew of the 13th President of the United States.  Ellis was born July 4, 1953.  He is a graduate of Western Michigan University majoring in Accounting with a Minor in Finance and Law.

Ellis spent 33 years and is now retired from NextEra Energy.  His final career position was as Business Manager for Texas Power Plants dealing with assets of $1.5 billion.

Ellis’ civic engagements include being the past Chairman of the Board of the Forney, Texas Chamber of Commerce.  He was Treasurer of the Forney, Texas Economic Development Corporation.  He also participated as a committee member for the Forney Recreation Bond Program.  Additionally, Ellis participates as a tax preparer for low income (VITA) programs.

Ellis enjoys traveling to the homes, burial sites and libraries of all the presidents.  Ellis lacks visiting Obama, Coolidge and Cleveland sites.  Ellis looks forward to visiting the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library after its July 4th opening.

Ellis is a major supporter of the University of Michigan.  In his free time, he enjoys pickleball, golf and bowling.
