The Society of Presidential Descendants representing America’s first families of US presidents and Long Island University’s Roosevelt School invites authors and publishers across America to enter the national Biennial Presidential Leadership Book Award, recognizing literary excellence, preeminent scholarship, and unique contribution to the subject area of presidential leadership. The first award winner will receive $10,000, and the two honorable mention winners will each receive $2,500. Winners receive all-expenses paid travel for the authors and one guest each to Washington D.C. for a reception dinner at The University Club of Washington D.C. with ____, one of America’s most preeminent historians as Master of Ceremonies on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
- Nomination forms must be received by May 1, 2023 by a printable nomination form or an online form. Mailed nomination forms must be accompanied by two books for each nomination. Online forms should be submitted with a digital copy of the book, but two books should also be mailed to Dr. Christopher Adams at the following address Long Island University, Winnick House 103 A, 720 Northern Boulevard, Brookville, NY 11548
- A shortlist of three will be announced on September 15, 2023.
- Winning authors must attend a dinner in Washington D.C. on October 21, 2023 during which the winner and the two honorable mentions will be awarded.
