Tom Washington, born in Richmond, Virginia, is an 11th generation direct descendant of John Washington, “the Immigrant”—thus making him a collateral descendant of George Washington. John Washington was the first Washington to travel to the New World arriving in 1657 on the Potomac River in the “Seahorse of London.”
Tom has been married to Vivian Washington since 1982; they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Tom and Vivian moved to Texas in 1982 from Wisconsin.
Tom is a retired CPA and is currently a Texas real estate broker specializing in commercial real estate. Tom has worked with two big eight public accounting firms, a Texas based international airline carrier, and in the real estate industry.
Tom is a registered member of the following genealogical societies: The National Society of Washington Family Descendants; Order of the Crown of Charlemagne; Jamestowne Society; The Order of the Founders and Patriots of America; Sons of the American Revolution; General Society of Colonial Wars; and The Society of Presidential Descendants of which Tom sits on the Board of Trustees.
